The Mission Heights School Gym has a preheat solar water heating system operating as a drainback system. The system incorporates 4 x 2.8m2 EcoSolar HE collectors and two 330 litre hot water which supply solar heated water to the instantaneous gas back up boilers. The system had extensive controls and monitoring systems installed including; EcoSolar UVR1611 controller, Bootloader and Solar radiation sensor, the control system was connected to the school's Local Area Network, LAN, which also allowed information to be shown on a large display within the library, this allowed the sytem and its performacne to be monitored by both school staff and pupils.
